'Postcards: Memories of Others'
November - December 2017
Carrying on exploring the idea of subtle violence, trough sewing through postcards, I attempt to experiment with an idea of disrespecting someone's memories and in a way rewriting them, turning an unwanted disregarded postcard into a piece of art. Some postcards have very chaotic sewing to reinforce the slight disarray, however, in others, I'm starting to move away from the idea of the barely noticeable violence towards exploring the object's quality of evoking curiosity.

The two following cards are adressed to me, making this series much more personal. By now the idea of subtle violence has pretty much been abandoned, witht he focus shifting towards rewriting history, taking a mundane postcards and transforming them into artwork. This duo is titled 'Lera' after the friend who gfited me the cards, it was meant to be a part of a larger series where every group is titled after the person who gifted me the cards. Unlike the postcards series, those two exist like sculptures, rather than objects of curiosity.
